Hi Dave,
I am extremely bothered by the naming of your concept. While your idea is extremely reasonable and I support thinking about information as having mass, the name should really be data inertia rather than gravity. I strongly encourage you to revisit the naming of such academic pursuit. Thank you very much.
Inertia doesn’t describe the effect properly, so why would I change the name? Inertia explains why it is difficult to move a mass of data easily in a network, but the core of the data gravity effect is attraction which isn’t described by inertia. Were you thinking about something else? I’m genuinely interested in why you think otherwise.
Best Regards,
Dave
